Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

Heaven has another great man to add to its list of occupants. I lost a great friend and mentor this week.  As we celebrated his life tonight, I was encouraged by the testimonies I heard concerning Randy's impact on people's lives.  It caused me to stop and reflect on the potential we have as Christ followers when we center our life around God's principles and choose to consider the needs of others to be more important that our own. Randy will be sorely missed, but he leaves behind a legacy of faith that is deep.

Thanks, Randy for the lessons taught and for the investment you made in me and my family.  I am a better husband, father and Christ follower because of my time spent with you. I will cherish the memories and carry the torch of faith until I see you again.
